GET TO KNOW ME

Helping You Move Forward

For more than 30 years, I have worked to help others unlock their potential - as a teacher, school psychologist, and administrator. Presently, I am Director of Instruction, Student Support, in School District No. 36 (Surrey). I have worked in public and private education for more than 30 years and have been involved in many initiatives geared toward meeting the needs of children and youth with complex needs, and their families. I have presented nationally and internationally on a wide range of topics.

I am a passionate advocate for children, youth, and their families, and in 2013 Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows School District created an award in my name, and in 2017, my work was recognized by the Canadian Association of Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

I am currently a member of the BC Council of Administrators for Inclusive Support in Education, the Council for Exceptional Children, the Canadian Association of Educators of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing—BC Chapter, Deafblind International, the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), and the British Columbia School Superintendent’s Association.

When I am not working, I enjoy travel, photography, gardening, reading, and walking my dog, Eridani--a tripaw rescue from Iran.
